Sun Stroke / Heat Stroke

Children are prone to sunstroke which can be a serious problem. The child may experience muscle cramps, breathlessness, and weakness and dehydrated. It is important to keep the child hydrated while the parent tries the following homeopathic remedies.

Symptoms:

-Hot and Red face

-Headache

-Sense of head bursting

-Mental confusion and lack of focus

Recommended Remedy:

Belladonna 30C may be alternated with Glonoine 30C every 15 minutes for relief. These medicines work well in cases where the symptoms come on quickly. The red face and bursting feeling in the head are good indicators for this remedy.  Try giving these remedies for 6- 8 doses before relief is felt.

 

The sun stroke may lead to cramping and a different remedy may be required.

Symptoms:

-Sun stroke may lead to Muscular cramping and twitching

Recommended Remedy:

Cuprum Metallicum 30C every 30 minutes for a couple of hours will normally give relief.

 

Tip:

 

For heat stroke, it is recommended that one dose of Cuprum Metallicum 200C may be given along with Belladonna 30C and Glonoine 30C. This will help prevent cramping while the symptoms of heat stroke are treated.
