Eye Injuries and Straining

 

There are many kinds of eye injuries and it is recommended that in case of severe injury, the child must be rushed to an eye specialist in a hospital to prevent loss of vision. Here, we will discuss only minor injuries and strain.

 

Symptoms:

-Fear, Pain and trembling after injury.

Recommended Remedy:

Aconite 30C may be given 2- 3 times every 10/15 minutes to reduce fear and initial pain.

 

Symptoms:

 -Black eye and bruising

 Recommended Remedy:

Arnica Montana 30C helps reduce swelling and heal damaged capillaries. Give 4-6 doses every half and hour for the first day and continue 3 doses a day for 5- 7 days to find relief.

It is recommended that Ledum 30C may be alternated with Arnica for relief in cases where Arnica is slow to help.

   

Symptoms:

- Aching and strain in eye and the muscles surrounding the eye due to 

   (1) Over exertion or (2) reading in bad light.

Recommended Remedy:

Ruta Graveolens 30C may be given 3- 4 times a day for a couple of days.  If there is continuous straining, a visit to the doctor is recommended.

 

Tip:

 

For any minor eye related problem, try giving Arnica 30C and Ruta 30C alternatively.
