Dental Problems and Treatments

There can be many different dental problems and minor ‘emergencies ‘where Homeopathy can be useful. Some symptoms are listed below. 

Symptoms:

-Fear of going to the dentist. Panic

Recommended Remedy:

Aconite 30C may be given 3-4 times every half hour before going in for treatment. This remedy helps in relieving panic attacks.

If the child is trembling and extremely apprehensive, Gelsemium 30C may be alternated with Aconite.

Symptoms:

After Dental work has been done and child is suffering from:

-Persistent Bleeding after tooth extraction

Recommended Remedy:

Phosphorous 30C every 10 minutes for 5- 6 doses is recommended. The mouth may also be rinsed with a solution of Calendula mother tinchure. The solution may be prepared by mixing 15-20 drops of Calendula Mother Tincher in half a cup of distilled /mineral water.

Symptoms:

- Shooting pains or toothache due to nerve damage.

- Difficult dental work causing tooth ache.

Recommended Remedy:

Arnica Montana 30C and Hypericum 30C may be alternated every one hour for 6 doses for relief in difficult dental work where there is suspected nerve damage in the tooth and continuous ache.

Tip:

It is recommended every child be given 3 doses of Aconite 30C before going to a dentist and  Arnica 30C after the dental work.
